8/2002 - a computer I built myself for college. Completely different internals, but I still have a box running with that Coolermaster case, its quite nice.

Not my oldest order. I had a few different accounts with different email addresses over the years. The oldest was one I shared w/ my twin brother.

This is the oldest order on the account I use today:
Code:

And what was the date? I already know that the fan and PSU was for the HDDs and extended HDD cage in an InWin S508-IW Pentium IV system.

Funny, I don't remember most of my newegg orders this far back, but this very first one I remember. I built a PC for my daughter's nursery school, as they didn't have one, and didn't have the budget for one (just had two in the office, nothing for the kiddies to use). So I ordered a cheapo all in one board with a celeron and some memory, and combined that with some parts I had lying around, and an old copy of Win 98SE, and voila, they could add basic computer skills to the curriculum for the 3-5 year olds. :p

For some reason, I can't see further back than 5 years on my account. I must have used a different account early on. :\

I feel dirty having paid this much for ram. This is not my oldest newegg account, I forgot the password to it, but it only had one order.

Fun thread.

I guess I was a little late to the party. Built this computer to play Doom3, realized soon later that 512 MB of RAM wasn't nearly enough. There were stutters when entering rooms.

It was the first time I had a mid/high end video card and an unlocked CPU. Very exciting times. Odd thing is...I could've sworn that Western Digital drive I bought was a Black edition drive, the same specs though (8 MB/7200 RPM). Maybe over the years it got converted to a blue drive?

Damn good card, ran for a lot of years in a couple of different boxes before being honorably retired. 218 reviews, 200 5-egg, 18 4-egg and nothing lower than 4.

That's funny, that's my same order in Nov 2001 except my price was:

$60.00
Tax $4.80
FedEx Express Saver $5.00
Order Total $69.80

And you're correct, it was an exceptional card for the money at the time.
