It's too early for a Christmas tree... it would shed too many needles before you take it down new years day. :)

Well that's why you use an artificial one.

too early? Christmas is ONLY 2 weeks away.. if you keep the tree watered it wont shed many needles.

It's not too early. We get a real tree each year on the weekend after Thanksgiving and keep it for a week after Christmas. They hardly shed any needles at all.

Tree and stockings

That's our little tree and stockings in our dorm room. The flash doesn't do the lights on that tree justice. That's a 2 foot tree and it has about 30 feet of lights on it. That little sucker GLOWS.

Here's my tree. I haven't gotten the Ornaments on it - just the chasing lights (this tree is 10 years old). I like to layer the whole thing with lights (ie - put on bottom branches, then lights, next row of branches, then lights, etc).

Damn, I wish I was home to take a picture of the tree we got over Thanksgiving, but I can describe it. 14 foot Fraser Fir, with 1500 lights, and countless ornaments. It truley is a spectacle. I love to read by it during the holiday break. It smells great and gives a sense of peace.

My wife just bought a couple new ornaments for it today. She says she buys the boys each a new ornament every year. I didn't know that! :Q
