in my attempt to look for a PC case, i've considered building it like a home theater component, but this box is going to be my powerhouse. This box will need to have at least (4) 5-1/4" bays and i suppose a floppy drive. The case will need to be ATX for my intel mobo. That's all...post on :)

Last case I bought was an Antec SX630. Excellent case and very well built, but next time I think I'll get an 8xx series case - there's a crossbar near the top of the case that makes working around the CPU, memory, and PS difficult. Everything else about this case is great. Removable HDD rack, drive rails for the floppy and 5-1/4" drives, good ventilation, mounting points for 3 80mm fans (2 front, 1 rear). This thing is heavy, too; the metal used to build it is good and thick, so it won't warp, unlike other cases I've seen. This helps to keep noise inside the case too I think.

What he said except with a 350W PS aka the SX635. The 10xx series would be more what you're looking for.

antec.com
Chieftec are very similar.

i have an antec sx830, and just got a lian li pc-52 usb (haven't made the switch yet, though). the antec is a dream to work with. handle on the door makes it ridiculously convenient to open, the 3 5.25 bays aren't enough but they have higher models with more, removeable hard drive cages, 5 80 mm fan cages (tool-less installation/removal), it goes on. the only thing better than antec (or cheiftech, or chenming, etc) would be lian-li/coolermaster/skyhawk. get an antec, they're awesome.

Lian Li PC 82. Gorgeous case, very easy to work with. Just waiting on my water cooling gear to arrive now, I used to have a ghetto water cooling system and now the radiator won't fit. Finally a case that is worthy of my computer, can't wait to overclock the 2.8 ghz P4

:D

lian-li/coolermaster/skyhawk

I never understood why people like these cases. They're built no better than an Antec and they are harder to work with. JMHO.

Mine was the 7237 or something like that.

Yep that's the one, before you mentioned it I couldn't remember the model for the life of me.

Had that one also. Went to an Enlight server case though.

Evercase 4252

You can get one without the power supply for $22. There were a couple of HUGE threads about this case in Hot Deals a few months ago.
