Cuz I need to haul a lot of crap somtimes and still like to have V8 power and have better gas mileage than a pick up?

That is the worst vehicle to own to haul crap in. If, by crap, you mean flowers for your flower garden or a rake to rake up the leaves in your flower garden or a picture to hang on the wall in your flower pruning room, then, yes...the ML430 is the vehicle for you.

Now about the Miata. I have to agree if you know nothing about this car I would call it a girl car.
After driving them a lot as a porter, I have come to the conclusion that only the Automatic Miata's are for girls, the Teal automatics/manuals are for homosexuals and all others are fine in my book. In fact I am going to buy one some day and turn it into a dedicated auto-x, track car. They are simply amazing in the turns.

i would keep the mr2 if i were you. midengine rear wheel drive in that price range is a bargain, nothing comes close. Convert to a 2zz-ge if you got the dough and some suspension work, you've got yourself a poor man's elise with toyota reliability.
