If the capture of Saddam changes your opinion, you need to sit down and think about your beliefs.

It can be enough, like 'the last straw', to get people to change their vote. Perfectly reasonable.

GW Bush is the only one I would vote for... personally though I would like to see a much more conservative person in the white house.

His Bush doctrine that he applies so well to other countries he has failed to apply to Isreal. The federal government has grown tremendously. We need a massive restructuring of the tax code (flat tax, elimination of the IRS to save billions and billions perhaps?). If he could get a few decent men and women to sit on the bench so that judges would stop creating law in their own liberal whims I would be a bit happier...

Something fishy about that statement ;)

The capture of Saddam after 9 months and hundreds of US deaths doesn't change my opinion of how poorly this administration planned for managing post-war Iraq.

Question for the Bush voters: Are you in support of Bush? Or merely voting against Dean?
Question for the Dean voters: Are you in support of Dean? Or merely voting against Bush?

Do you honestly think Dean would do a better job?

Still Dean, the capture of Saddam doesn't change my vote. Bush still has the same policies and ideals that he had yesterday and I still have different ones.

why does bush get credit for the capture of saddam? the soldiers who took part of the capture and the agents who collected intelligence did.

could american causaltities be minimized if bush's war staff planned it better? yes. is it bush's fault that the american causaltities are so high AFTER combat because of poor planning? not really. I don't think you could praise bush for the capture just as i don't think you can blame him for the high american causalty after "mission accomplished".

The fact that we still haven't found WMD is alarming. if we could not prove that they had WMD before we invaded we still fought a war based on an illegitimate assumption. Bush did not do a good job to rally the international community on supporting the war.

with that said... screw saddam.

"Voting against ____"
Those questions are just used to support people's already set opinions on sut... much like lots of "polls" it's all in the wording.

I can say "Do you support ___ because they are better than ____" ?

Exact same thing in different wording.

Question: does declaring the end of combat actually mean anything?
