Possibly looking for something to replace my iPhone

I've had my iPhone 16GB for about a year now, and it is by far the best phone/internet device combination I've ever used. A few things annoy me, though...one of them being the absolutely crappy camera.

So what I want to know is...is there a smartphone that combines a capacitative touchscreen with WiFi and a decent camera (for example, 3.2 MP with autofocus)?
I've tried the HTC Touch Diamond, but the browsing experience on that was far inferior to the iPhone experience, despite the HTC having a VGA resolution screen.
The camera, though, was way better than the iPhone's dinky 2 MP fixed focus one.

These have touchscreens, WiFi and an auto-focus camera:
Samsung Omnia i900
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1
HTC TyTN II
Asus P535
Toshiba G810
HTC G1

And there's about two dozen more. Here's a query for this search at GSMArena - tinyURL'd because it's really, really long without it.

You mentioned you tried the Diamond...have you tried the Pro?

G1 is an alternative also. As of right now it WONT sync with Outlook though; however, being open source I suspect that will change. Its a nice phone...not as much as the Pro though ;)

Bear in mind that nothing comes close to the browser on the iPhone. So if that is a must have for you, then I suggest you keep looking.

Nope, I've only tried the Touch Diamond since one of my friends has one. The browser was much slower than the iPhone browser and almost unreadable unless you zoomed in. Also, having to use the stylus was very clunky. The 640x480 resolution doesn't do much on the Diamond, since it's screen is noticeably smaller than the iPhone's.

The G1 is looking like the closest thing to an ideal phone for me right now...hopefully, more apps will become available...
The G1 has some major shortcomings too...one of them being the lack of a standard 3.5" headphone jack.

Most phones dont have 3.5mm jack. There were many things about the G1 that killed it for me including no Outlook sync, no steroeo bluetooth, no video support with the camera, no flash for the phone, and a few others. Software will fix some, but the BT stack will require a ROM update and I use my phone for multimedia 60% of the time so that killed it for me.

Opera on the Pro seems fine to me *shrug*
