gehct is there a limit to the amount of free merchandise we can get or can I clear out an entire departments worth? Also can I use your credit card just in case they change their mind and quit giving things away?

This should be locked. Even if there was a 1% chance that staples would honor this (there isn't and they wont) there is still a pretty big difference between a hot deal and borderline theft. You might be able to hotwire a $20,000 car but that doesn't mean getting a $20,000 car for free is a "hot deal".

While I don't think this is a hot deal, it isn't stealing either. If you go up to the reigster at a B&M and there is a pricing error in your favor, do you alert the cashier? I don't think so.

When the cashier's mentally retarded and she rings everyone else up for free too, yeah, you tell her. =)
