hey All,

I have been running AMD for the last 2 years and for my wifes surfing machine, it is fine.
But I am an overclocker/gamer/tweaker/number cruncher.
I am tired of all the VIA issues...PCI Latency this, SBlive that, 4in1 this month, MS drivers next month

I am still an avid reader of AMDMB and was wondering if there was a similar site for Intel users.

Since I have been out of the Intel arena for so long, I am looking for a place to start.
I dont know what chipset/motherboard/CPU/Heatsinks are best bang for the buck right now.

ANy pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.....

thx

The most popular combination at the moment is the Pentium 4 1.6A GHz Northwood processor, paired with the ASUS P4B266(-C). Great price and incredible overclocking potential.

You get typical excellent ASUS stability and performance with the motherboard, and most 1.6AGHz processors can overclock well beyond 2GHz. Some have been reaching 2.5GHz with stock cooling and even default voltage.
