I have a nest of bumble bees under my front porch. They never stung anyone but they'd chase and dive bomb me whenever I walked by. Gotta seal up that crack while they're dormant during winter.

Pay the bee keeper to move the hive. Docile or not, I wouldn't want a giant bee hive in my backyard. Hopefully nobody is allergic.

This. It is too big of a risk to take. Also bee keepers are hurting right now, they want bees, so getting one to come and collect them shouldn't be a problem.

Ok, scheduled the bee keeper guy to come out. He isn't doing it for free, so I figure I am paying to have someone cut open the shed walls and floor either way. It also works out better since he is also gathering the honey up too, whereas the exterminator people are just poisoning everything and leaving it there... after they tear up the wall and floor boards.

For the record, that bee keeper is chuckling to himself thinking "omg! I get the bees and honey AND he's paying me for it!"

Oh, and re: the swarming bees above. It doesn't say that he was killed by the bees; and it doesn't say they were honey bees. It says that he fell and hit his head. Swarming honey bees are actually even MORE mild mannered. If you find a branch that a swarm in on, you can remove the branch and walk around with it - they won't bother you a bit. e.g. in this picture, you could walk up to the picnic table and carry it around the yard and wouldn't get stung. Also note the activity when the guy was injured - he was trying to kill the bees; not leave the bees alone.

As a side note, he does get the bees, but more importantly, he still needs to cut open walls and floorboards, so it isn't like he is just picking them up. So to some extent, that is probably why he is cheaper then the exterminators, but he should be paid for the time and equipment he needs to retrieve the hive.

I'd at least ask for some of the honey

Just call any bee keeper and they'll usually come get them free. The bee population in the world is dying and without them there is no pollination going to be happening, unless you like living in a desert of course.
