This morning someone e-mailed me the W32.Magistr.24876@mm virus. It was an e-mail from someone named "Maxine" (I don't know any Maxine) and the subject said "#@$%*". Right when I saw it, I new it was a virus so I tried to right click it to delete it but instead it tried to execute. Luckily, I have Norton A/V Corporate Edition 7.03 installed and "realtime protection" caught it and halted everything. Norton cleansed this virus from my system.
Here is my question. Do I have anything to worry about? Does Norton A/V do a good job of taking care of viruses? I have done several virus scans, rebooted, and scanned again and nothing was found. SARC shows this virus as a "Top Threat" and that their software can take care of it. Hey, I'm a little wigged out here since this is my first brush with a virus.:Q
