Possible video Card problem

When playing games lately (anything from medal of honor to Knights of the Old Republic), i've been getting random 3D shapes and colors in the screen, in some cases to the point where it makes it impossible to play the game. Anyone have an idea what's going on? Does it sound like a video card issue? i have a 128 MB Geforce 4 ti4800 and a View Sonic a70f+ monitor. The vid card is about 3 1/2 years old, the monitor about 3.
 
Make sure the cooling fan is still spinning on your video card, and maybe check your case temperatures.
