Possible video card failure?

Alright so I turn on my computer today, and low and behold I find some new visual quirks in WinXP Pro. I hate to imagine my GF3 Ti500 dying already, but the video glitches are ever changing, and they are nothing but horizontal lines about a centimeter long, and they vary from few to completely scrambling a window.

Usually I know what to do with crap like this, but I hate to have to get a new video card ($$$).

Check the fan. I had glitches with my Radeon 8500 that turned out to be a slowly dying fan. I replaced it and all was well again.
