Possible to verify SD card via software?

There are lots of fake SD cards around and I was wondering if it is possible to verify SD cards via software? This guy used a software called CardInfo, is there similar software for Windows?

Visual detection is not good enough, I need something more definite. Thank you 🙂

It works fine with the method you mentioned. Isn't there a conclusive method to identify SD cards? BTW, what's does the CardInfo app run on (e.g. Palm OS)?
