Possible to use two routers..one as router..one as a switch?

I have a 3com 4 port router and switch that is hooked up in my home network. I would really like to keep using it just becuase it is already configured and set up just the way i like it. I just got a linksys wireless router so that i can access the net wirelessly on my t40. Is there any way to use the linksys router as a switch by connecting it like a computer to the othe router? I tried doing this but it wouldnt connect to the internet. Should i just reconfigure my network and use the wireless router? Thanks

WAN Port stay Open.

IP of the Router/Switch at the same band as the main Router.
