Possible to use laptop screen as a moniter?

I was just curious as I have no idea and I really don't want to screw up my computers by trying for myself...

Not really, no.

You could build some sort of interface from a pile of parts, or add a s-video capture card to your laptop, but neither is very practical.

There is software that allows you to use from one computer the monitor connected to another computer (even laptop) to multimonitor but I cannot remember the name.

Maybe someone else will remember the name.
