Possible to transfer files to SDcard through digital camera usb connection?

i have some files i would like to transfer onto an SD card. i dont have built-in or external reader on my PCs. My Canon S450 takes SD cards and connects with USB to the PC... is there a way I can copy files onto the card? seems not possible to use the windows explorer... is there some 3rd party software to do this?
