My fiancee was just rubbing my elbow, and as she did, i noticed my fingers started going numb, then my wrist... eventually (within a minute or two), my entire hand from the wrist to my fingertips was cold numb....

I've had really bad wrist problems for years now, is it possible to be something in my elbow (or heck even higher) causing it?

Based on my limited experience, hand problems can be caused from further up the arm. I self-diagnosed an ulnar nerve impingement at my elbow, and it cleared up once I wore an elbow brace while sleeping for a month. However, it fit the textbook symptoms exactly - weakness/numbness/tingling in the ring and pinky fingers and that side of the hand - and is typically an elbow, not wrist, problem.

Are you seeing a neurologist now, or were you referred to another general practitioner?
