iphone-dev.org is the best IMHO. I've used both ZiPhone and iPhone-Dev and the Dev Team is a lot better than ZiPhone.

The only issue I've run into with jailbreaking is it slows my phone down. For instance, apps take 3-4 secs longer to open/close. I click on apps and sometimes it doesn't register that I lifted my finger, so all the icons go into "move" mode.

For me, it's just quirky. Haven't had good luck with it. Worked great on my iPodTouch (gen 1), but it's not as successful with my iPhone3g.

I've noticed a very slight slowdown with my 2.2 jailbroken phone. I'd say it's worth it just for the themes. It's so purdy!

Important***: Do not attempt these instructions for the 2.2 iPhone Firmware unless you don't care about a software unlock in the future. Using QuickPwn with the 2.2 iPhone Firmware could reduce your chances of being able to unlock the iPhone 3G.

IMHO, use PwnageTool instead..
