Possible to sync email between laptop and main computer?

I use MS Outlook 2k2 but can go to any other version if it means that I can sync my emails between outlook on my laptop and outlook on my main computer.

I basically want to be able to check email using outlook on either computer and when I hook them both up to my wireless lan they will sync with each other so they both have the same emails on them.

Is this possible?

does your server support imap?

or leave messages on server for a certain number of days (such that both laptop/desktop have time to retrieve) then delete? Its an option under your email account settings under the advanced tab, there is a delivery section with a little checkbox that allows for this...

Sounds like a job for imap I really hope your server supports it, cause it kicks pop's @ss

unless your server has a mailbox quota

other options include sharing your PST files on a network drive, although only 1 outlook can be open at a time (will you need to be on two email programs at once?), exchange server, which i doubt is worth it in thise case, or using POP with the "leave a copy on server" option set. the last one won't really "sync" persay, but it will give you local copies on each computer as well as save one on the mail server.

I really wish gmail would offer imap :sigh;

i personally think gmail needs to have some kinda date...I would like a lot more features...
