Question Possible to Switch from ...

New stock of the 9800X3D just came to my local MC and today is Black Friday so there are some deals there.. not the 9800X3D afaik but some other good deals going on so I was pondering if it's possible to pull my X570 drive out of my AM4 rig and drop it into my X670 MPG Carbon without a fresh install? The customization's of the OS are a lengthy PITA and what I'm trying to get around

Yes, No? Anyone have some experience trying to do this?

I went from B550 to X670E without issues.

Shouldn't be an issue. The only thing that might pop up is needing to activate Windows again.
