I know that you can record asf/asx and .ra/.ram streams with programs such as streambox vcr but is there a way to save quicktime video streams?? My connection is riddled with packetloss (i have @home) and i cannot view a decent video stream ANYWHERE... i've tried a search and did not come up with anything... thanks.

if you have quick time pro i believe you can save your files. if you dont the quick time files should end up in your temporary internet folder somewhere. you should be able to copy them out. as i recall they will be named something completely random but you should be able to pull them out.

C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

Just click on the "Size" tab to organize by filesize, it'll be near the top, as QuickTime movies are probably some of the biggest files in your CACHE.

In the QuickTime settings in the Control Panel, there's an option to store movies in browser cache under Plug-In Settings. After the movie has DLed, do NOT close the browser window until you go to the Temp I-net Files folder and copy it out, otherwise, they'll be deleted.

An exception I noticed was a the Madonna video for "Music" on her site. It's a 19MB AVI, but nothing I have will opening it. WTF?
