Yep, sure is! :D

Had some hail damage last week. Didn't park the car in the garage, and it was exposed for about 6-7 minutes. Nothing too big, about nickel sized, but the paint on the tc is really soft. Didn't notice the damage for about a week when I saw dozens of small pockmarks all over the body of the car. Didn't look like the sheet metal was damaged, but it was clearly visible close up. So I took it to the bodyshop, I'm told they will have to repaint a bunch of panels. $2500, but my deductible is only $100.

I call the guy today, ask him what the progress is, and he tells me it's a bigger job than they expected. They had to repaint the entire car. :Q I'm happy, because after 2 years and 48K miles of traveling though some really rough backroads, the car was starting to show it's age with major swirls and minor scratches throughout the car. But now it should come out looking new. :D

I should sell it now. :)

Bah, not neccesarily. :) It's not like it's an at-fault collision claim. :)

ROFL!! You think insurance rate hikes are based on fault? What color is the sky in your world? Rate hikes are based on claims, they don't give a damn about fault, they only care about what THEY have to pay. You'll be giving them that money back and more.

Which indirectly makes it based on fault, because the at-fault driver's insurance company has to pay.

But in this case, rate hike ++

Actually, I live in a no-fault state. But a collision claim where I am determined to be at fault would be much more likely to cause a rate hike.
