Possible to put 92mm fans in Antec 80mm fan slots?

I have an Antec PP660B. I noticed that the 80mm fan holes are a bit larger than the actual fans and was wondering if I could stick a 92mm fan in there. svcompucycle has a freakin' sweet looking Zalman ZM-F2 92mm fan that's supposed to push 38CFM at 20dBA!!

with a dremel and a drill, anything's possible.

I hate those purple fan holders, i drilled my own holes for fans. actually only had to drill 2 extra holes since there's already 2 square holes for those holders. I just put a washer slightly bigger than the pre-cut square hole, btw the bolt and the case. I'm using #8 machine screw and a wing nut.

Suppose all I did was take out those purple fan holders and drilled holes for a 92mm fan, would there be any problems?

there shouldn't be any problems, except for the square holes already there, that's where the washer comes in.

I did the same thing, but used larger grommets that will fill the square holes in order to isolate any fan vibration from the case. You can use smaller grommets (1/4) for the smaller holes you drill.
