So, with the help and input of you all here I've decided to go with the following for a new build:
Asrock B450M Pro4 mobo
Ryzen 5 3600
Corsair Vengence LPX 16GB DDR4 3200 (2x8GB)
Samsung 512GB 970 PRO NVMe
This system will be running Win10 x64 and used for some gaming (nothing intense), photo post processing, and general time wasting
. I am salvaging my Antec 550w PS and HD7700 graphics card from my current system, along with my Samsung SSDs (finally shedding my last spinner, a WD Blue 500GB turtle). This will be almost certainly my last build and I managed to stretch my budget to accommodate the components listed.
My only real concern is matching the CPU with proper RAM. The Corsair RAM I picked does not appear on the QVL list for this board, but ADATA does. Any concerns with that? Thanks.
