Since this place more about motherboards i thought you guys would know if i would be able to overclock my celeron 533 with a Abit BH6 because i've been trying to overclock it for a while and still no luck..... i tried to set it on 600 and it would reset then it would try to start up and my monitor wouldn't work so i just turn it off and wait then turn my computer back on then it goes back to 533 again.... any ideas if Abit BH6 can overclock celeron 533?

Well if it's a Celeron II 533, then yes...If it's a Celeron 533, then yes but not as much. You will also need the latest BIOS.
When overclocking the 533, you cannot adjust the multiplier. You can only adjust the front side bus. I have a Celeron II 533 running at 800 (8x100) on a BE6 at 1.6V. You will probably have to up the voltage as well. Go into the soft menu, and set it to 8 X 100 at 1.6V, speed error disabled. If you are running the older Celeron, then 600 is about all you'll get out of it (8X75).

Good Luck.

I agree. I am running a Celeron II 566 at 850 (8.5 x 100 front side bus) with no problems. This is on a BH6 earlier version 1.01 with voltage at 1.65. If you have the original Celeron 533 PPGA (Plastic Pin Grid Array) chip then go to fleabay or priewatch and you can pick up a Celeron II 566 FCPGA (Flip Chip Pin Grid Array) for $90-100. Have numbers on Wintune around 2400 which is close to a non-overclocked PIII 700. Also, I am running everything within Spec. eg, PCI bus and peripherals are at 33mhz (100/3) and AGP video is at 66MHZ (2/3 x 100). The newer Celeron II chip is a savior for us with older BX based boards and we are still in the game with a semi-coppermine chip. You must have the newest (or newer Bios from Abit the QN or SS Bios). Hope this helps.
