Possible to network this printer?

My lab group got a free used printer for our use. It is an HP DeskJet 648C. It would be nice to be able to print with this printer from all the computers. Thus there will be two Win2k computers, four WinNT computers, and one or two Win95 computers using this printer. Every other printer I've tried has worked in this network (including several other HP lasers and inkjets). However, for some reason the DeskJet 648C will only print properly from the computer it is directly connected to. When I try to print from any other computer I just get one small black smear printed in the top left corner. Am I setting it up wrong, or is it impossible to print on this model from a remote computer?

that sounds like a driver issue. It should not matter where it is printed from since the print job gets sent to the printer's host comp and it then interprets it as it's own. Check for current drivers on all of the workstations and then make sure the printer is set up properly as a network printer.
