I'm pretty sure my nForce4-based MSI K8N Neo2 bit the dust from a static accident. I happen to have a K8N Neo4 Platinum (nForce4 Ultra) on hand for a machine I was about to build for family. I had two drives on SATA channels 1 and 2 running in RAID1 via the nForce4 controller. These contained all my partitions including the boot.
Can I move the drives to the new motherboard and keep the array and partitions intact? I'm hoping I can get away with just reinstalling Windows and my applications and not have to restore all of my data which would take forever.
If it matters the drives are 2x WD 160GB. I don't recall the specific model number but they are not the RAID enhanced version.
