Possible to make Logitech Z-2300 speakers run on 220V?

I sent my Logitech Z-2300 speakers home to New Zealand, and most things I checked would run fine here, but stupidly not the speakers.

The speakers are for 120V 60Hz, and 2 Amps. Other specs are:

Total RMS power: 200 watts
Satellite power: 80 watts RMS (40 watts x 2)
Subwoofer power: 120 watts RMS
Total peak power : 400 watts

I was wondering if a stepdown convertor would work, dropping 240V down to 120V, and what sort of power convertor I would need? They seem to be listed in capabilities of VA.

The power here is 50Hz, but I called a local electronics store here and they said they have a stepdown convertor that'll output 60Hz for a not too horrible price (around US$50). I just hope they're right, cause searching online it seemed 50Hz to 60Hz converters were not common.

Any help at all would be fantastic, thanks!

Radio shack has step down convertors that should work just fine - dont worry about the freq Mhz - the speakers will work OK at reasonable volume settings
