Possible to lock up W2k?

After much badgering, I've upgraded to Win2k Pro. My UT2k3 demo sometimes locks up the comp, and the only option is to hit the reset button. I thought these NT-based OSes were hardier than this. Am I missing something? Secret keyquence?

It could be an issue with your video driver. Device drivers have full and unrestricted access to the system. So, if there's a bug in the driver, the OS can't do anything about it and the result will be a crash/lockup.
 
Could be an issue with the game also. BF1942 occasionally locks my boxes up also. Any other thing and they are rock solid, except for the occassional user error.
