Possible to install XP Pro, then change key using XP Home, and keep Pro features?

Just an interesting idea that I had recently. Would it be possible to install XP Pro, and then later change the key using XP Home, and stay legit for updates and the like, and still keep XP Pro features like RDP? Would that kill the functionality, or would it stay once installed?
Is there any way otherwise to install RDP (service) onto an XP Home box?
Has anyone ever done something such as this?

XP Pro & Home keys are not interchangeable. if you need RDP in home try VNC or logmein.com

You asking about circumventing a software license which is piracy, you know that is not allowed here and I suspect this thread will be dealt with like any other pirating thread.

For reference the code in question queries the Windows version (not just version as in 5.0 vs 6.0 but the product version) and doesnt' run if its not on the correct OS. This is why cached credentials dont work in Media Center, the cached credentials dll checks if its media center and fails to load. Other components work similarly.

you can try to change the key codes but it wont take them

This KB article leads me to believe V6.0 of RDP will work with XP Home. Home is listed as one of the products it applies to. I have not read it all the way through. Check it out.

The Remote Desktop Connection tool is preinstalled in XP Home. However you can only connect to a remote pc running XP Pro.
