I have a 16 bit program from the 90s that I use daily. It had been on an XP unit which was fine. I have been able to use it on 32 bit W8 with no problem. Is there any possible way to get it to install-run on 64 W8?

If it runs on 32-bit 8, then yes, there is a possibility. But, I would recommend have a virtual machine for this. I have one for the old games I play that are no longer supported.

I usually do 32-bit XP (I have a DOSBox, but only for one game, Bioforge). The later versions of VMWare Player has decent video acceleration as well.
