Is soldering (properly) on the ATX plug enough to turn the board on when you hit the psu powerswitch ? Or is there more involved ?
Will auto-off, and wake on lan and such be the only sacrifices ?

Thanks.

It's possible to rig the power switch but an AT PS doesn't probvide all of the same rails and monitoring capability that is part of the ATX standard. AT hard starts while with ATX it always supplies some power to the board. When the power switch is hit, the power supply kicks on. Then the PS sends a signal back to the motherboard saying okay, let's power up, or it doesn't. (based on line tollerances) The AT standard doesn't do this. There are lots of Power supply guides out there. IT also doesn't provide the same rails to power your components. In short, it's impossible. sorry.
