Possible to disable the raid controller on MSI K7T Turbo-R ?

My computer takes forever to boot because it checks for IDE drives on boot. I can't see any way to disable it in the bios. Anyone know if it's possible somewhere? Thanks

I'm getting the same problem while booting. Hangs for a few seconds then kicks into normal boot. Still trying to figure out how to disable the Raid. Read from the other threads that you can connect you hd to the Raid ide. I'm gonna try that after work.

I didn't have the promise screen appear until I changed the
video card from a Radeon Ve to a Geforce2 GTS. So I also want
to know how to disable the raid (looked in BIOS and no joy and
the book tells you how to set up RAID but not how to stoping it
loading till you want to set up an array).

Do some searching...

Within the last two or three weeks was a message about certain BIOS settings that caused RAID not to show up (it was a major bug for most people who wanted RAID, but you may be able to turn it around to your advantage).

There is another one that just got put back to the top about the 20 second delay and what to do.
