hey all,
I am using a highpoint 2220 raid 5 controller. I have 6 x 500GB seagate drives installed under XP. I just realized the largest drive size in XP 32bit is 2TB, which I have surpassed when I added the 6th drive over the weekend. Anyway, I need to remove it for now.
My card supports OCE which is what I used to expand the array in the first place from 5 to 6 drives. I don't see an easy way to use OCE again so I can safely remove downsize the array and take the 6th drive out.
Highpoint tech support is non-existant via phone or email, and manual does give much info.
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks in advance for any info.
UPDATE: FOUND OUT THE ANSWER IS NO, YOU CANNOT DOWNSIZE AN ARRAY
