Possible to create a boot CD like a boot floppy?

Howard

Lifer
I burned the contents of a boot floppy onto a CD and set the first boot device to CDROM in the BIOS, but it checks the CD and then boots into Windows (even though I didn't even put the HD in the boot sequence).

Any way to do this (my floppy drive is b0rk3d 🙁)?

EDIT: I want to boot into DOS and format my C:. Any ideas would be great.

It's not quite as simple as you tried....

You have to make the cd a system disk -- not sure what you're using to create the cd, but I think nero has a "create bootable cd" option (but I've never tried it)

I've found the site www.bootdisk.com very useful for creating boot disks of whatever dos you want
