Possible to cook a hot dog in the oven/toaster oven?

I hate how they taste when you microwave them, is there a better way to cook them. I don't have a grill.

you can boil them.. but i think the taste might be similar to microwave?

No hot plate? Get one. Boil it.

With a toaster oven, split it in half, put some oil on it, and broil.

edit: Caitlion, hot dogs are SUPPOSED to be boiled. That's the original, and best way.

I guess you could boil in the microwave too.

You could broil them in the oven. Seems like a lot of work for hotdogs, unless they're a good brand.

I always cook my hot dogs in the toaster oven when i can't use a BBQ. I used to cook them in the microwave, but I usually like them a little burnt, and the toaster oven takes care of that

It is not hard to cook a hotdog in anything.

Just cook it until it's warm. Stick it in your toaster oven, microwave, conventional oven, bbq.. hell, build a fire in your woodstove, wrap it in tilfoil and throw it in for a minute..

grab with fireplace tongs.

Get a 12V lantern battery, 2 wires, 2 nails. Strip the wire ends. Wrap them around the nails. Stick the nails in either end of the hot dog, hook it up to the battery, let that bastard Ohm do the cooking for you.

I put them in the toaster over and cook them? It's not that hard... i dont even cut them i just throw them in for a while.

you can just cook them in a skillet over medium low heat, just turn them frequently. You might put a little oil on no-stick spray in there first.
