I have a Geforce 4 MX420 which has VGA out & S-Video out. I want to be able to my monitor along with my TV (through the S-video) both connected, which I've been able to do, only the problem is that I don't know how to properly set up different resolutions/refresh rates for each output. I want to have it so my monitor displays at 1280 by 1024 @ 75hz, while having the TV display 800 by 600 @ 60hz.
Now whenever I turn on nView's 'Clone' mode, with my monitor being the primary display, the TV gets set to the same resolution, and everything isn't displayed on the screen (you have to scroll around). In nView hen I right click and choose 'Change Resolution' on my 2nd display (TV), no matter what I choose (800 by 600 or 640 by 480 or 1025 by 768), the screen on my TV is STILL stretched out & does not display everything. Is this a bug?
The only way I can get everything to display & fit correctly on the TV is to either set it as the primary display and have the resolution at 800 by 600 or to have my monitor as primary display but have it set at 800 by 600... meaning, I can only do it is if my monitor is also at the same 800 by 600 resolution (which looks like crap). Is there anything I can do to have the video output the CORRECT resolution for each display? I'm using the latest 42.01 detonator drivers btw
