Possible to change some directory names stock on Vista

Is it possible to change some concrete folder names in Vista?

My concerns are "Program Files", and "Documents and Settings"

I'd like to simplify these 2. Do you think issues would arise when installing software if these two were to change? Is it even possible?

Documents and Settings in vista is a junction, not a folder. You should be using the Users directory.

I wouldn't touch Program Files.
