possible to buy a single nba ticket at the event itself

i'm in DC on business and thought I would swing by mci center tomorrow, may 2 for the game 4 betweeb wizards and bulls.
do I HAVE to buy a single ticket from ticketmaster or can I just go to the mci center and buy the ticket at the event itself.
from their website, it looks like the box office shuts at 5.30pm and the game starts at 7.30pm.
I've never been to a basketball game so I don't know........
I would rather just goto the event and buy the ticket there itself rather than pay more $$$ to ticketmaster.
at the ticket counter, will they let me choose what seat to buy or the computer will just issue any random ticket?

you can go to the box office, no ticketmaster fees. they should let you choose, assuming its not sold out.
 
yup, easy to get from scalpers or the booth. Only thing is it will be the worst seats in the world and cost over 200 bucks
 
ticketmaster is selling tickets as of 3.15pm
so, I guess I will just goto the box office and see what they can do.
the box office won't be closed...right?
 
Single ticket should be no problem from a scalper.

Bring the vasoline though.
