Possible to assign a permanent icon to a drive in OSX?

I was just curious if it was possible to assign an icon to a drive, such as an mp3 player or flash drive, that will show no matter what computer it is connected to.

Also, is it possible to give it a name (so it will not show up as NO NAME) that will be accepted no matter what Mac you connect it to?

If there's anywhere better I should be asking this, let me know please...

Ok, I was able to change the icon and name on my Mac, but when I plug it into another, it keeps the name, but the icon is no longer there 🙁.

I was hoping to keep the icon because I'm setting up MP3 players to give out as promos and I'd like the icon to be there.
