I have a 2005 Mazda3... LOVE the car, but one complaint, no remote trunk release...

Shouldn't be problem at all. Parts will run ~$40 or so and you could do it yourself.

Probably, go to some on the mazda forums, they'd know more about the specifics than ATOT would.

You dont have a remote trunk release!!!????

I'm sure you can get a ford key fob, program it to your car and get it to fire that release.....

Do you have an extra button on your key fob? If so, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to wire a solenoid to the extra output of your viper alarm. You could have a shop do it, but it really wouldn't be that tricky. Just find the output of the extra function on the key fob, wire it to a solenoid that you place in the trunk, (to pull the mechanism to release said trunk) and that should be it. The chances are you will need a relay to switch the solenoid, unless you have pretty high power outputs on the alarm system.

Yep, fob has a Aux button... I wonder i could just buy the trunk release for the Mazda6 and switch it out...

Yes they do. I have two of them in my Stealth. Picked them up at Best Buy. Don't remember the retail cost, but they ran me ~$9.60 with employee discount.
