I couldnt flash my bios (from v2.4) to either of the 2 beta bioses on msi's webpage. The flash utility (version 788 or 789) would just sit and i would have to reboot. Using any of the extra paramters didnt do anything for me (including /nbl) BUT using the award flash utility from abit's webpage worked for me (version 77something i think). All i did was run the 'awflash.exe w6330vsp.10g'. Now im running the beta v1.0b16 at 9x133 (1.2 athlon) with all of the lower multiplier settings (instead of having all of the multipliers below my default missing) and much improved memory benchmarks. Hope this will be of some help to some of you with these bios problems until msi gets its act together.

HOLEE shiznit!

this deserves a bump

ANYONE???

anybody try this?

no offense McBain, but that's kinda risky, and a junior member without their profile enabled doesn't engender the utmost in trust

I want to believe <g>, but that's still kinda risky

why did you think to do that, anyway? what gave you that idea?

How much differance is there between flash utilities? I wouldn't think there would be many.

Well i thought of it when i ran out of ideas and 2 of my roommates run abits..so i decided to give it a try...i have run into one problem though. every once in a while during boot i will get no sync input and have to put the 133 jumper back in, boot at 100, and then pull the jumper to get back to 133..very wierd, msi needs to release another bios stat.

enough of a difference to allow for these beta bioses to be installed (that are really hacked together just so they work on these boards)..kind of scary though but its better then running at 100fsb
