Ok, this is just plain weird. Last night one of my CF cards at home got corrupted when I tried to take pictures with my Canon camera. Lots of weird problems followed when I tried to read it in my PC using a card reader (basically my comp wouldn't recognize the card).
Now, today at work I just took some more photos with a CF card in a Nikon camera, put it in a card reader, and the PC wouldn't recognize it! I re-inserted the card back into the camera, and now the camera says there are no files on the card.
These are entirely different locations, computers, cameras, CF cards, and readers.
Maybe there's some new glitch in WinXP SP2?? A vulnerability? A virus??
Or maybe this is all just a terrible coincidence.
Could a few of you please take some pictures with your camera and use your CF card in your card reader and let me know if you have the same problem?
