Possible Registry Corruption due to RAID controller.

The problem I keep getting is below, I was typing it into the Tech. Support Forum when I saw this thread: Registry Corruption in Win2k using KT7 RAID controller? I have an Epox 8k3a+ with HighPoint RAID controller (HPT372).

The blue screen message I recieve is as follows: The registry cannot load
the hive (file): \SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE or
its log or alternate.

Here is the SOS I wrote for the Tech. Support forum:

The system runs completely normally for however long, then I boot it up one day and get the blue screen o' death with this: "Blah blah, numbers. The hive file \system32\config\software or its
alternate is either missing or corrupt."
So I boot with my Win2k CD and hit R for repair and pop in the "Emergency Recovery Disk" which I made with the option "Backup Registry Files" checked, and setup does its routine, says it is done, reboots. Lo and behold I get the BLUE SCREEN again! I want to kill someone right now.
This is the second time this has happened, the second TIME! That is why I had a very recently made Recovery Disk, with the backup registry option checked! What the hell can I do? Has anyone else heard of, seen, or know what this problem is? Here are my system specs that I think are relevant:
AMD Athlon 1900+
Epox 8k3a+ (I am not using the RAID channels)
Via KT333 chipset
& AC97 Sound
Drivers installed
Main HD: Maxtor DiamondMax 30Gb 7200
2nd HD: WD 100Gb 7200
Win2k Professional
No other major programs installed.

Please help.
