I have some problem with my computer who refused to boot after a first try.Usually,it will boot the second time i try.I have this problem with a Abit BF6 with P3 750.That motherboard has goes dead yesterday,so i replace that config with an Abit KT7A and a T.B 900 and i have the same problem.

My power supply is a 1 yeard old Antec PP303X 300 watts.I'm scare to burn my new mobo so I want to replace my PS with:

1-The same model
2-In Wim
3-Enermax

This is the 3 choices i got.

What is the best choice.

when you boot and it fails you mean no power what so ever is sent, right? No fans no light, etc? No beeps?

I like the enermax...I think they have 330watt model...

The fans, hard drives and CD-ROM are spinning but no beep,no video no light on the keyboard just like if the computer is in stand by mode.

I have the same power supply and pretty much the same problem as you. Hopefully the PSU didn't fry anything else along with it when it decided to suicide :) Here's a link to my post if you'd like to read up on it: Here

THX Zincq for the link.
I don't have the problem with the fans going crazy and all my voltage are OK according to my bios and Motherboard monitor.

Why dont you try a different stick of ram if you have it...pull out sticks if you have many and try just one in first slot...try all of them if you have many...

Make sure ram is in tight...

Just a thought to distinguish before you spend any money...I have had a stick not all the way in not boot to the post.

I saw the subject line and just knew you had an Antec. Why on earth would you even consider getting another? Get a good quality supply, like Enermax.
