Possible odd results in Crystal Mark? SSD vs HDD.

A friend of mine was benching his new M4 so I ran Crystal Mark on my SSD and HDD for kicks. This is after a fresh restart.

I was surprised to see the HDD beat the SSD in Seq and 512K writes, is that normal?

This is pretty normal for the lower size SSDs on the older sandforce firmware. Its only recently that sustained write speeds have beaten out the HDD's in a big way.

run an ATTO benchmark and then compare those two drives again. No contest due to the strength of Sandforce compression when the data type changes to something it can compress for max speeds.
