Possible Job?

I just graduated with a Master's in European History and have been searching for a job teaching History, English, or even Religion for the majority of the summer. Unfortunately, it appears that there are no job openings within a sixty mile radius and I need an alternate job, at least for a year. I know several schools that will have openings as of next year that are interested but I really need a job now.

Anyway, I do work with computers and networking stuff on the side as sort of a hobby. I've built several systems for members of my family and others as well as set up networks, wired and wireless. Most of what I know has been self-taught, although I do learn rather quickly.

-So my question is this:

With my background, do any of ya'll think I could fill this position at the local hospital?

Full time position available. Must have good working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and WAN networking equipment. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle high pressure environment. Must have the ability to install, modify and make minor repairs to a verity of computer hardware and software. BS of Science or equivalent from a College or Technical School with majority of course work in Computer Science strongly preferred.

If so, what are the main abilities/experience that I should stress in the application ?

I'd start by telling them you know how to spell variety. Assuming you copied and pasted that paragraph.

"High pressure environment" <----- RED FLAG

Disregard it at your own risk.

A newsmagazine called "Chronicle of Higher Education" has hundreds of very attractive foreign and domestic educational job listings, I highly recommend checking it out at your local library (the subscription is quite expensive if I recall...).

EDIT: I found their site: http://chronicle.com/

I'm pretty sure that the reason for this job opening existing is that the hospital is adding a new wing. So I would imagine the job consists primarily of wiring the new section of the building.
