Possible job promotion @ Staples :)

Tonight i jokeingly was talking about my lead (my boss) for Business Machines at Staples to my other manager. I joked around about him leaving, and it turns out he probaly is! I asked about what they were going to do to fill that hole and he said that they no one in this area would be able to transfer in. I have been at Staples for about a year and a half and really like working there and would love raise in pay/status and a nice bonus Basically he said to talk the to GM about the job and theres a chance they could do it. Sure the job would require 40 hours a week, but i figure that right now i am only 3 days a week and i put in about 26 hours, so i think 40 is workable. I am only 18 years old but would be replacing a 35 year old. I am going to give it a shot, I just thought it would be funny if I could pull it off

Yeah and before you know it they'll finally switch to the unique coupon codes instead of the usual 5 digit codes.

Oh so true, 16 digit coupon codes are in the future from what I hear, till then, PM ON

My boss is leaving the 3/9 but will go going to part time and do both jobs it looks like... he will soon leave though. I am going to talk to the GM this week and see what he says... if he doesnt want to do it oh well, it was at least worth a shot

so it looks like i wont be geting the promotion they are going to promote someone else from within. Oh well... i will give him a shot and if it doesnt work out i will put in my notice and find a job somewhere else. CC and BB are right across the street and I could always just work over there... hey at least i would get a discount working there
