Possible incompatibility with the 7800 GT

I'm dying here. I have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard with an AMD 3800+ X2 and an eVGA e-GeForce 7800 GT video card. This video card has been nothing but problematic.

Here are the symptoms:

-If dual-monitors are turned on, Nvidia demos, games, etc play horribly.

-If dual-monitors are turned on, both cores of my 3800 X2 CPU are maxed out and I know
that shouldn't happen.

-The secondary display flickers almost always when I click anything.

-And my personal favorite, I get the BSOD while in games (referring to nv4_disp.dll, the video driver).

I don't know if it's my video card or an incompatibility with my CPU or mobo or Windows. Whatever it is, I am seeking a different video card, unless you suggest something else.

Do you have any suggestions for another video card, preferably not nvidia in case it's an incompatibility thing?

Any help would be really appreciated, I'm at the end of my rope here.
Thanks in advance.

Hiya Bill, I have this same rig, except i was only running 1 display. So, I hooked up a 2nd to see if im seeing the same issues, but I'm not seeing any troubles...

I'm using Windows to add on the 2nd display, and I fired up HL2. I see about a 50-60% load on both CPU's, and no stuttering(in game), or flickering on the 2nd display.

Let me know if you need me to try anything else....
