pm here

staples link

Then use $30 off $100 coupon (still valid?) Should come out to about $100-$110 after tax.

Is this the best deal possible for this? Also, does this come with a 250mb disk? The one at shop4digital.com says it does, but it is not mentioned on staples site. Is it possible this is not the same item? If it is, and the disk is included, seems pretty hot to me. What do you all think?

All retail Iomega drives come with one disk. Unless it is an oem 'white box' item (which I doubt Staples handles), this will have a disk.

The new 100MB zip drives (retail package) DO NOT COME WITH A DISK. Don't know about 250MB ones...

I have a retail ZIp 250 USB...it had one free disk inside.

Staples is offering 2 free Fuji zip 100 disks if you purchase their Zip 100 USB drive...deal is ending today.

The PM was $120.00 That's 100 with tax and the 30 off.

If you had read the "Detail" part of the offer, it said the following:

At one inch thick and weighing just under a pound, the Zip 250 USB drive can accompany the most demanding mobile computer user. Iomega® 1-Step Backup. 1-Step Backup easily backs up data files from your hard drive to Zip® disks.

Iomega® QuikSync. With the Iomega QuikSync software, it's not only easy to back up to Zip® or Jaz® drives, it's automatic. QuikSync watches a single directory on your hard drive, and when a change is made to files there, a copy is automatically saved to your QuikSync Zip disk.

Iomega® RecordIt.RecordIt software is the coolest way to record (and play back) voice and music on your computer! Record up to21 hours of meetings, conferences and music on a single 250MB Zip disk.

That's a great buy and the device is good for laptops, too.

previously the iomegaWare used to come in on 100mb disk, now it comes in a (cheaper)CD. So no disks in the box. Only starter kit includes 2 disks.

The drive this thread is about is the 250 MB external USB. It does have a 250 disk with it. Check Costco, but I think Staples has 4 of the disks for $55, but you can get something for $20.00 that has a $20.00 rebate like that Language Translater, use a $25 off $75.00 on the disks, bringing the cost of the unit to $75.00 + $55 and you will 5 disks and an extremly small external drive you can use on PC to Mac if you get MacOpener for the PC.

Don't forget about the pricematch.

mchurchm NO this is not the best you can go! Becuase you should be able to use the $40 off $150 coupon at Staples instead. Then call and price match.
